Hakim Danish Caps Moto3 Stand-In Role with Strong Valencia Finish
VALENCIA, Spain – Malaysian racing sensation Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli signed off his limited 2025 Moto3 World Championship campaign with another display of grit and maturity, securing two valuable points at the season-ending Valencia Grand Prix at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
The 18-year-old, riding as a stand-in for the injured Ryusei Yamanaka on the FRINSA – MT Helmets – MSI machine, delivered a determined charge through the field to finish a commendable 14th place in Sunday's 20-lap Moto3 race.
A Fighting Finish from the Grid
Starting from the 18th position on the grid, the young rider from Terengganu knew he faced a ferocious pack typical of the lightweight class. The tight, technical nature of the Valencia circuit demands precision, and Danish showed exactly that.
Throughout the race, he was locked in fierce battles, steadily making up ground from his qualifying position. His ability to manage the frantic pace and maintain focus in the dense mid-pack traffic was a testament to his rapid development in the Grand Prix environment. By the time he crossed the finish line, he had gained four places, adding two more championship points to his tally.
"This race was another crucial learning experience," Danish remarked after the flag. "Starting further back meant a lot of hard fighting in the first few laps, but I was able to find a good rhythm and push forward. To score points again, especially in the last race of the season, feels great."
Laying the Foundation for 2026
This result in Valencia, coupled with his impressive 12th-place finish at the PortugueseGP just weeks earlier, brings his total points score from his limited wildcard/stand-in appearances to six points.
More significant than the numbers, however, is the confidence and experience gained. The Valencia GP was his final preparatory round before he steps up to become a full-time Moto3 rider with the MSI Racing Team in 2026.
The team’s decision to promote him was cemented by his standout 2025 season, which included claiming the bronze medal in the highly competitive Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. His seamless transition to the World Championship-spec bike and his proven ability to convert opportunities into results have clearly impressed the team management.
The two points from Valencia serve as a promising final bookmark on his 2025 journey, a journey that has transitioned him from a rising talent in the junior series to a proven points-scorer on the world stage.
"My dream is finally coming true next year, and these two final races were the best possible preparation," Danish concluded. "We have a lot of work ahead this winter, but I'm excited to join the Moto3 grid full-time and bring everything I've learned back to the team. Thank you to everyone who supported me this year!"
As the Moto3 field packs away their bikes for the final time this year, all eyes in Malaysia will be firmly fixed on Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli, ready to cheer for their next star when the lights go out for his full debut in 2026.
