Bezzecchi Dominates Valencia Season Finale, Securing Aprilia’s Historic 1-2 Finish

VALENCIA, Spain - Marco Bezzecchi delivered a flawless, masterful performance in the season-ending 2025 MotoGP Grand Prix at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, clinching a lights-to-flag victory that cemented his place as a premier rider and gave Aprilia Racing a historic one-two finish.

The Italian, who was already celebrating his Pole Position from Saturday, banished any lingering memory of his Sprint Race performance with a perfect launch off the line, taking his Aprilia RS-GP straight into the lead.

A Masterclass in Front-Running

Bezzecchi controlled the 27-lap race from start to finish, managing his tire wear and pace with exceptional maturity. This victory marked his third Grand Prix win of the season and his second consecutive win, following his dominant performance in Portugal a week prior, a phenomenal way to end the year for the 27-year-old.

While he built a comfortable gap in the early stages, the latter half of the race saw a tense battle unfold as his fellow Aprilia rider, Raúl Fernández (Trackhouse MotoGP Team), came charging hard. Fernández, who eventually secured second place to give Aprilia their first one-two finish since 2023, chipped Bezzecchi’s lead down to barely half a second in the closing laps.

However, the pressure was not enough to make the front-runner blink. Bezzecchi held his nerve, maintaining the pace just enough to cross the finish line with a margin of +0.686 seconds over Fernández.

"I had a lot of fun, I have to be honest, especially in the end because Raúl was super fast, super close, and always getting closer lap by lap. So it was tough," Bezzecchi said. "But very, very happy and super satisfied about the job from the guys. I can't hope for a better way to finish the season."

Aprilia’s Historic High

Bezzecchi's victory was immensely significant for the Noale factory. It not only secured back-to-back Grand Prix wins for Aprilia for the first time in MotoGP history but also saw the manufacturer finish the season in second place in the Manufacturers' standings, their best result to date.

The win also secured Marco Bezzecchi third place in the 2025 Riders' World Championship, capping off what has been a true breakout year for him and the team.

The race also featured high drama behind the winner, with a fierce final battle for the podium between Fabio Di Giannantonio (VR46 Racing) and rookie sensation Pedro Acosta (KTM). Di Giannantonio eventually prevailed, snatching third place with two laps remaining to ensure a Ducati bike was represented on the podium one last time.

The season now concludes on the highest possible note for Marco Bezzecchi, who celebrated by kneeling down to "propose" to his race-winning machine. Focus immediately shifts to the post-season test, but the Italian and Aprilia have earned the right to savor this dominant end to a highly successful 2025 campaign.
