Hafizh Syahrin and JDT Racing Team Steal the Spotlight at FIM Asia Gala

BANGKOK, Thailand - The 2025 Asian motorsport season has officially been etched into history. In a glittering ceremony celebrating the continent’s fastest talents, the FIM Asia Gala Awards honored the champions who defined a year of razor-thin margins, historic manufacturer shifts, and heart-stopping finales.

Leading the roll of honor was Malaysia’s former MotoGP star, Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah, who clinched the premier ASB1000 (Asia Superbike) title in a historic campaign for the JDT Racing Team.

The narrative of the night undoubtedly belonged to Hafizh Syahrin. Riding for the JDT Racing Team owned by the Regent of Johor, TMJ. Hafizh’s victory marked a seismic shift in the Asian Road Racing Championship (ARRC).

In a grid traditionally dominated by Japanese inline-fours, Hafizh piloted the thunderous Ducati Panigale V4R to glory. The season finale at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram was a masterclass in composure. Despite Honda Racing Thailand’s Nakarin Atiratphuvapat winning the final race, Hafizh’s calculated second-place finish secured the championship by a mere three points (193 to 190).

As the trophies were hoisted and the 2025 chapter closed, the focus immediately shifted to 2026. With JDT Racing Team setting a new benchmark for professionalism and manufacturers like Ducati proving competitive, the paddock is already buzzing with rumors of new teams and machinery for the season opener at Sepang International Circuit in April.

For now, however, the night belongs to the victors. The 2025 season will be remembered as the year the "Southern Tiger" roared, and Asian motorsport entered a new, faster era.
